Common Interviewing Errors
If you want to put your best foot forward in an interview… don’t get caught making one of the following errors!!
- Poor or casual personal appearance
- Lack of enthusiasm, passive/ indifferent
- Over emphasis on money
- Condemnation of past employers
- Failure to look at the interviewer when conversing
- Limp handshake
- Tardiness to the interview
- Failure to express appreciation for the interviewers time
- Asks no questions about the job or the company
- Indefinite response to questions
- Over-bearing or over-aggressive
- Inability to express self clearly; poor voice diction, grammar
- Lack of planning for career; no purpose or goals

- Lack of maturity
- Lack of vitality
- Indecision and hesitation
- Merely shopping around seeking a counter offer
- No interest in the company or the industry to which they have applied
